Front Porch layout

 Hello everyone, 

Bre here, posting from my new home! This year has had a lot of really big and unexpected changes for me and my family, one of which was a super quick home pack-up and purchase. When I saw this adorable Front Porch kit, I was elated- my new house has an adorable screened in porch which gives me plenty of opportunity to see the local wildlife and hopefully, eventually, to read books and scrap in.

Smitten- Happy Valentine's Day!

Hey everyone!

Happy post-Valentine's Day! Did you get any good presents? Cards? CHOCOLATES?!?! We don't go too big at my house, but my guy usually surprises me with good strawberries or my favorite candy bar, and I like to make the family a really fancy dinner and dessert, complete with sparkling juice. My daughter loves taking cards to school and coming home with bags full of candies. 

I always make sure to get some sweet photos, and Raspberry Road kits are perfect for scrapping them. 

This year is no exception; the Smitten Collection is filled with everything from cute gnomes & balloons, to pretty watercolors, florals, and paint-textured papers.

And then for fun, I used one of the quickpages in the Smitten collection to do a quick 5 minute documentation of my kiddo's class valentines. I'll be honest, I'm glad I have her toothy grin on a page, but I had zero motivation to scrap all this lol.

Hot Cocoa Season layout

 Christmas is getting closer and closer. And now we have a little baby boy in our family it was time for his first Christmas photoshoot! And what is the most fun part after the shoot?! Scrapping those photos with the amazing Hot Cocoa Season Collection at Raspberry Road Designs!

Ghostly Fall Layout Share

 Hello everyone! 

For me the Macy's Thanksgiving Day is the harbinger of the Christmas season- once Santa arrives in his sleigh, all manner holiday movies and decor are acceptable! That doesn't mean my scrapping is done with fall though. I still have lots left to do! Thankfully I have a ton of Raspberry Road kits to work with. Her latest, Ghostly Fall, is soft and ephemeral, with plenty of subtle, spooky touches.

I whipped up quite a few pages in one sitting. I love how they all look kinda different even though I used the same collection:

Autumn Mood

Happy (US) Thanksgiving, my friends!

I'm so happy to be celebrating my favorite holiday this week. The pies are baked, the turkey is brining, the butter is browned, and I'm sitting down to get some scrapbooking done. In the layout below, I've used the Raspberry Road Autumn Mood collection to capture some of my favorite October memories:

I loved layering up the different styles of botanicals, and the addition of a soft pink to a traditional fall palette? Excellent. I know that I could use this for any number of layouts, particularly of my baby girl when she was small.

Frosty Friends

 Hello everyone!

So, I know I'm a bit early, (or late, since these are spring photos and we are definitely creeping into winter) but I saw these photos of my kiddo eating snowflakes, and I knew that the Frosty Friends Collection was just right- even for March photos!

The colors were a spot-on match for my daughter's outfit. As much as I love chilly winter kits, I find that the colors of kids outerwear tend to clash with all the natural tones. It was a thrill to find this colorful kit to go with snowy photos!

These washi's are the bomb. perfect amount of texture and transparency! Great for layers:

School Rocks Layout

 Happy Fall, Ya'll!

Bre here, excited to feature a layout created with the School Rocks collection. As soon as I saw colors in this adorable set of elements and papers, I knew it would compliment my daughter's elementary school artwork perfectly. Take a look- it's just right:

The mix of primary and softer colors makes this such a versatile collection for pages about the sweet kids in your life. I'll admit- I was absolutely thrilled to be able to scan that giant construction paper iguana and get it on a page and out the door. Mom-win!

Lucky Charm Pages

 Hello everyone!

Bre here, sharing some photos I scrapped using the Lucky Charm collection. I don't tend to scrapbook much about St. Patrick's Day- all of my older "party" photos were tiny and grainy, and our big celebration these days is our corned beef dinner- but then I saw all the beautiful clusters and wordart that referenced being lucky for people in our life, and knew I had to jump in. 

My kiddo is getting so big, so these cute, silly photos made me yearn for the preschool days:

And the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to document my current adoration of soda bread:

 I really like how they turned out!

Now the cool thing about Raspberry Road collections is that Susan often creates quickpages of her layouts for you to enjoy. If you're not familiar with quickpages, they are completed png layouts with holes for you to pop in your photos. I saw these multi-photo layouts and new they would be perfect for some older pictures from my pre-kiddo days that didn't have much in the way of story, but were still fun and sentimental to me. By using these png files, I could pop them in quickly without spending effort on these older pictures when I have more recent stories I'd like to focus on.

November Chill Layouts

Hello everyone!

Bre here! You know that awesome feeling when you can take a kit and use it for something it wasn't originally intended for? Yeah, that rush of re-using supplies is one of my favorite parts of digitally scrapbooking, and I take it whereever I can. The great thing about Raspberry Road collections is that they're so easy to reuse for lots of different subjects. 

Take the November Chill collection. Taken at face value, this should be something you scrap some late fall, chilly themed pics, yes? I thought so, too, but then I decided to play around:

This was from a hot fall trip to Six Flags- no snowflakes required.

This here is actually my girl's school photos. It happened in November, but there's nothing "chilly" about November in DC :) The color coordination made me happy though, so I went with it!

   This layout is a bit more traditional in that I used it for a November favorites layout. Again, loved how the icy paper colors brought out the blues in my photo, but the flowers kept things from being too dark. 

For my last layout- I jumped on the chance to use this artsy paper in the background to document some hand-dyeing my kiddo was working on. I loved the alcohol ink look, and the metallic accents.
