Playing Catch Up

Hi there, Amanda here. Remember me?! First off, my apologies for going off the radar since December! I started one of those December Daily albums in paper scrapping format, and it's taken me this long to get back on track with my digi scrapping! I've done a lot of stuff here recently though, so I have several things to share with you today!

I missed my digi scrapping during that December Daily project so much that I actually digi scrapped a few pages and printed them out to add to it. I used Candy Cane Lane to make this one:

The bright red, white, and green is just such a fun color combo for Christmas, and always looks so cheery.
I used the newer White Christmas kit for this page. Again, I'm a sucker for the red, white and green. The little bird house was just too adorable not to use!

After I finished the December Daily, it was time to start finishing up my 2011 Album so here are a few pages I've done on that this month:

This is a patriotic 2-page spread I put together using the Backyard Blast Kit to tell the story of our 4th of July. I also snagged the Honey Bee Collection to put together a page for our road trip to Michigan. I will probably end up making a 2nd page to go with it, but since I made an entire shutterfly book for that vacation, I just wanted to hit the highlights here in our yearly book.

And last but not least, the project I finished last night. After searching my entire 23,000 file digital collection for a set of papers that had my daughter's princess birthday party colors (pink, purple, yellow, and blue) I came to the conclusion I needed a new set because nothing I had was working for me. A quick search of Susan's archives lead me to this Pit-a-Pat paper pack from 2008! It had solids of all the colors that I needed and a cute harlequin diamond paper that had pink, yellow, blue, and green (which I layered purple diamonds over to cut out the green I didn't need). It was absolutely perfect for putting together her invitations, and I'll be using it for my party signage too. I still need to get a portrait of her in her princess dress before I print the invites out, but you get the idea! ;)
Sorry for the long post, but hopefully I'll be back posting more regularly, now that my digi mojo has returned. I'm looking forward to using that new Away We Go kit soon!
