The Y Chromosome, Botanical Bliss and Green Thumb mix

I've been working on my Italy album again and mixed some kits from Raspberry Road Designs.
For the background I used 2 different papers from The Y Chromosome. I used the green paper as the base and the stones have been cut out (with the feather at 200 pixels) from another paper. The elements are from Botanical Bliss and Green Thumb.

A little bit of information about the destroyed church on my photos. This region of Italy had a terrible earthquake in 1976. Almost all the important buildings were built up again like they were before the earthquake. But this church wall is just standing there. For me it feels like some kind of monument so we will never forget what tragedy happened there.

Usually Under the Weather

So for my ABC's of Me Challenge for the letter U, make a page about being under the weather, I used The Y Chromosome Kit again, since it'll be across the page from my T is for Television page. The good news about these migraines I've suffered from for so long is that since January, I've been going to a chiropractor once a week and I've gone from having about 2-3 migraines down to maybe once a month! Yay! I'm just a few months away from only needing to go once a month for regular maintenance on my spinal alignment situation.

Here's a freebie cluster I made to share!

Cedar Creek

I made another double page layout for my Italy album. This time I mainly used Cedar Creek from Raspberry Road Designs. This amazing kit has the perfect nature feel as I had when I was in Italy! I used some bits and pieces from the kit Nature Retreat (little trees and picknick table).

Let Them Eat Cake

Hi all, hope that your all doing OK!

Today I have a card to share with you all that I have made using the yummy Let Them Eat Cake Papers
These papers were perfect for a Summer themed card, just love the colour combination and the rose detailing on some of the papers :o)

I re-sized the papers in Photoshop to make mini 6x6, I re-size rather than crop to keep all the detail around the edges.  As hard as it was for me to do to these gorgeous papers LOL, I have curled and slightly ripped the paper edges to give it that extra vintage/shabby chic feel :o)

I teamed the papers up with a Magnolia Tilda image, which I have coloured using Prisma Pencils blended with Sansodor.

I used the papers on the inside of the card too, compliment the front.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today, and I will be back soon :o)

ABCs of Me - T is for Television

I've been working, slowly but surely, on my ABC's of Me album that Scrapbook Challenges has put out a letter challenge for each week this year so far. I'm a little behind, but here is my T page. The challenge was to make a page about your relationship with the TV. I obviously watch way too much of it! I loved how the headlight frame in Susan's newest kit, The Y Chromosome, looked like an old school tv screen, so that's why I chose this kit. The alpha is from Stop Drop and Roll by Ziggle and it's my constant throughout my album. I really look forward to scrapping pages about my son with this kit, but for now, it's nice to actually take a little time to scrap about myself for a change!

Peaches & Cream

I'm working on my Italy album to get it finished for printing and was doing the pages of our breakfast in the hotel. The perfect kit for that is Peaches & Cream by Raspberry Road Designs. Lots of food in it!
I also used bits and pieces from other kits from Raspberry Road Designs for my double page layout.
This is the left page:

And this is the right page:
Next to each other it looks like this:

Wedded Bliss

Hi all, hope that you are well today :o)

Today I would like to share with you a card that I have made using the Wedded Bliss Paper Collection.

Now I wanted a soft romantic feel to my card and so the Wedded Bliss Papers were perfect.  Quite a few of them have this lovely lace detailing on them, truly beautiful!  I printed the papers out onto 160gm paper and distressed the edges with Distress Ink.

I used a Whiff of Joy Wedding Cake stamp for the main feature and coloured this with Prisma Pencils.

I used the papers all the way through the card, to compliment the front.  I have made a little pocket on the left to hold some money for the happy couple :o).....

These papers really are beautiful and perfect for many occasions not just Weddings.

To save on printer ink, I always re-size the papers in Photoshop first, so for example this card measures 5"x5", so I re-size the papers to this.  Your best to re-size rather than crop them, as cropping can remove all the fabulous detailing from the edges, where as re-sizing shrinks them down, keeping all the detailing.......so basically they make mini versions of the original 12"x12"

Thanks for taking the time to check out my card today!

See you all soon :o)

Been a While!

Sorry I've been MIA for so long! Gearing up for summer vacations has had my free-time in a choke hold! I finally got to do some scrapping for the first time in almost a month! Love all the new kits Susan has put out since my last LO. The Frog Luau was perfect to adapt into a page for our trip to the zoo last weekend. A parrot and flamingo with some tropical leaves did the trick just fine! I used circles cut from one background at about 50% opacity to the main background to help finish off the ends of the lines of photos and journaling.

Here's a sneak peek of the sketch I created for Scrapbook Challenges' upcoming Sizzlin' Summer of Sketches. A new sketch will be posted every weekday in July, so come check it out!

I've created this as a freebie QP for you all too!

Home Sweet Home

Hi my names Tab and I am new to the CT at Raspberry Road Designs.

I use Raspberry Road Papers in a slightly different way.........yes, I print them off and use them in my card making :o)

Today I would like to share with you a card that I have made using the gorgeous Home Sweet Home Papers.  These papers are just perfect to compliment little Ballerina Bea Bear image that I have used on my card.  As the kit contained some gorgeous blush pinks and beige's, perfect for a ballerina themed card :o)..

The papers print off beautifully..... and look just like the papers that you would buy :o)  I printed them onto 160g/m text and graphic paper that I bought from my local stationers, .....it has a lovely smooth sheen to it, but they print equally as while on normal copier paper too :o)

I have coloured my little Ballerina Bea in with Prisma Pencils and blended them with Sansodor

Well thank you for taking the time to visit today and check out my card.  I shall be back soon with more cards/creations using printed out Raspberry Road Design Papers :o)

Have a great day!

Last week in Italy my father and I ate a lot of Italian food. On the first evening, when we just arrived in the hotel, we had a great pasta with prosciutto cotto! The whole athmosphere of Raspberry Road Designs' kit Olive Garden is perfect with the photos I took in the restaurant!

And this is just a preview of the add-on!
Here's my layout:

Green Thumb

Yesterday I came back home from my vacation to Italy. I batched my 530 photos today and when I saw Green Thumb in the shop at Raspberry Road Designs, I just couldn't resist playing with some photos I took in a butterfly garden in the Italian town Bordano.

The natural elements in this kit are perfect with my butterfly photos and there are also some butterfly elements in the kit!
