Smitten Freebie

Hey guys! It's been a lazy week around here with both my kids getting the flu back to back. I did manage to squeak in a little scrapping in all of this down time though. First I have a fun LO I put together for my first page in my 2011 scrapbook! I used Winter Wonderland (with some note paper and stitching from another kit I already had) to scrap about our annual Christmas After-Party. What a great way to start the year off! I was inspired to pick this kit because of the bright blues that matched my friend's party dress and our playroom curtains. :) Oh, and if the alpha is looking familiar to you too, that's because it's Susan's Travelogue Alpha Set2!

I have a few other pages to do in between these two, but to participate in Jolanda's "Scrap Your Gift Challenge" on Scrapbook Challenges, I went ahead and used Smitten to scraplift the example LO she posted to show off the pretty tulips my husband got me this year.

Yeah, I'm back!!!

Hi there fellow Raspberry Road lovers! It's Bre here, and today I'm getting back into the swing of things with a really pretty (if I do say so myself lol) set of quickpages for a glorious kit from Susan called First Frost!

I have to say, First Frost might be one of my favorite all time Raspberry Road kits. Hailing from the frosty hometown of Buffalo, NY, it might just make me homesick, but really I think it's all of the gorgeous colors and elements in it. While it is named for the brisk days of fall, I actually really like it for scrapping these last "thawing" days of winter, and had to scrap a bit with them. I turned everything into QP's for your enjoyment. Take a peek:

HEARTFELT Hybrid Project

Hi! Are you ready for a cute last minute hybrid project? I've got the perfect combo--Susan's HEARTFELT kit and a Target mini mailbox! I love this kit, with it's pretty papers and retro elements. There's something for everyone, from romantic to retro fun! I did use some elements from her Cupid kit, too. I love how these two kits were interchangable. And...since she's have such an awesome sale, grab this kit if you don't already have it. This project goes together pretty quick--I've done all the work for you! lol Just print it, cut it out, adhere to your mailbox, and decorate to your HEARTFELT (I couldn't resist! lol) desire! I've left the journaling tags plain, so that everyone will be able to use them. On mine, I simply typed out Happy Valentine's Day. On the other end of mine, I typed a name on top of the roses, so that's up to you. I just hope you enjoy this as much as I do. Enjoy!

Travelogue Inspiration

If you are looking for a great kit to scrap your latest globe trotting adventures, look no further than the Travelouge kit. I hear everything in the store is 50% off this weekend so get yourself on in there and pick up a few Valentine's gifts for yourself! ;)

I put this 2 page spread together with the kit and added in a slightly recolored heart doily from Smitten and then used the Vintage Typekey Alpha for the smaller font on the right. This was a free Mandagirl template, and I am loving how it came out. I really like that this one kit has so many different countries and places represented in it. Hope it gets you inspired to whip up something fun during all this cold weather we're having! (We've had the worst winter weather, here in North Texas! It's worse than I have ever seen... the kids are about to hit snow day #5 tomorrow!) Hopefully it's snuggly and warm wherever you are though!

It's Sunday

and getting closer and closer to Valentine's Day!  As you can see from the goodies posted previously, the CT has been busy making all kinds of Valentine's treats for you.  My offering today is a cluster with Susan's gorgeous Cupid which also happens to be on sale for 50% off this weekend!
