Memorial Day Remembrance Tag Freebie

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
         In Flanders fields.

written by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae on May 3, 1915
Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who lost their lives while serving our country. Let's not forget these heroes and take a moment to remember them today. Honor their bravery by doing something kind for a member of the military or for a military family.

I created a Remembrance Tag for you as a gift, image is linked.
There are still 68,000 troops in Afghanistan and they need socks. These men and women fight under conditions that we can only imagine. Socks for Heroes, run by the San Clemente Marine Corps Support Group, is a wonderful organization that is trying to meet that need, and they are doing it, one pair at a time.
Since June 2011 they have sent over 196,000 pairs of socks (over 14 Tons) to our Marines. For more information on how Send Comfort Across the Miles, please click here and be sure to Like them on Facebook.

Thank you for the beautiful tag! The round part is perfect for adding a date. Socks for Heroes sounds like a great organization. I'm glad to learn about them!
